F.A.Q.
Q: Can we come for just a weekend, or a few days, mid-week?
A: Yes, anytime except July and August, when our accommodation booking is Friday to Friday.
Q: What are the check in and check out times?
A: Check in can be any time after 4:00 pm, while check out time is any time before 11:00 am
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We live on-site, and are available for emergencies 24/7. However, we would love to have quiet family time between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. when it's possible.
Q: What is included with the cottage?
A: A fully equipped kitchen, (fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker), gas barbecue on the deck, A/C, TV, VCR, DVD, all bedding, the use of the canoes, row boats and kayaks.
All our cottages are on the waterfront. We have a sandy beach with a gentle incline, perfect for small children. There are various lawn games such as horseshoes, badminton, bocce, croquet, basketball and volleyball. There is also a play area for smaller children. All you have to bring are you beach towels! "The rain may never fall 'til after sundown; by Eight the morning mist must disappear...." but even so, sometimes it does rain. We have loaners of traditional cottage style board games for such occasions.
Q: What is there to do in the area?
A: Tell us what you like to do and we will help you plan an itinerary tailored to your preferences. Meanwhile, if you click on Nearby, it will give you some idea of the wide ranging activities in the Kawarthas.
Q: How far are you from Toronto?
A: Toronto is a pretty big place, it takes nearly two hours to drive across it. Without traffic, the eastern edge is about an hour away. We've made it downtown to the CN Tower in 1 hour 30 minutes, but two hours is more realistic. We've made it to Pearson International Airport in 2 hours, but suggest that 2 1/2 hours is a better estimate when travelling from the airport to Triple T Cedar Resort. Allow 3 hours going back as the roads around the airport can be quite confusing.
Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Regrettably we do not accept furry or feathered unconfined pets. Iquanas and Goldfish may be acceptable, if you insist.
Q: Is the fishing good there?
A:
I don’t fish myself but people coming back with fish say is it. See Fish
Pictures.
Q: Do you have boats on site?
A: Yes we do. Non-motorized boats, such as canoes, kayaks, and rowboats are all included with your cottage. We do have motors for our aluminum fishing boats, which we charge for.
Q: Is the water safe to drink?
A: Yes. We send samples to the local Health Unit for “Bacteriological Analysis of Drinking Water” to monitor the continuing safety of the drinking water
